Thirty (30) judicial officers have been promoted to different\r\nranks within the Judiciary. The promoted officers are at the rank of Deputy\r\nRegistrars, Assistant Registrars, Chief Magistrates and Magistrates Grade One.

The massive promotions were effected by the Judicial Service\r\nCommission (JSC) in accordance with Article 148 of the constitution.
\r\n\r\n
The Commission is vested with the mandate to appoint, confirm\r\nand exercise disciplinary control over persons holding a judicial office.
\r\n\r\n
The promoted officers will soon be deployed to work in the High\r\nCourt Registries and Chief Magisterial Areas throughout the country. The timely\r\npromotions will enhance and improve service delivery in the administration of\r\njustice.
